Denim is easily one of my favorite materials. Everyone should have a pair of blue and black jeans. I currently have 6 different colors varying from maroon to green. Black denim is intimidating and usually people just do black on black. I wanted to explore more looks than just that black on black while keeping the simplicity. I put together two looks in collaboration with Old Navy styling a pair of their black denim.
I took the slim black jeans and paired it with a camo tee and bright white kicks. The color composition really spoke with me, I contrasting looks. The black and white work for me, pairing the camo- I wanted the look to pop and grab attention which was done with the camo. Black Eco-Drive Watch from Citizen. Throwing in bracelets and some rings is how I took this look to another level.
Probably one of my favorite looks. Chelsea boots with black jeans is honestly the way to go, that or a nice pair of sneakers. Took the Old Navy black jeans and threw in some Boohoo gear. I made the shirt by cutting up a long tee from Old Navy. Get a knife and go at it *not while clothing is on body.* I’ll be doing a walk through soon on how to shred your own shirts and jeans. Type of Fit
A lot of people ask me what fit of jeans they should wear: slim, skinny, regular, athletic, boot cut… etc. I always have the same answer, it really is personal preference. I’m a skinny guy, so I wear slim and skinny jeans- they fit on my body well. I can’t go too slim though, I’m not a fan of jeans that look like leggings. My best advice is to go to the store and try them on in each fit and see how they look on you, and more importantly how you feel in the jeans. If you want a skinny or slim fit, you usually go up a size or two just to ensure more room. Old Navy is great about having a wide range of options at all their stores and convenient fitting rooms. Try em out and let me know what you think!
